MTV BASE VJ SEARCH: AND THEN THEY WERE FOUR

Going head-to-head in the last stage of the competition are 23-year old Tomiwa Olorunfemi, 21 year old Tochukwu Onwubiko,
23-year old Olayinka Oladiran, and 19 year-old twins, Grace and Glory Danbaki.

After competing against thousands of applicants from across the country including Lagos, Abuja and Enugu during the MTV Base VJ Search auditions, the winner will join Ehiz Okoeguale, a.k.a “Dadaboy Ehiz” on MTV Base’s in-house talent roster, presenting their own shows on MTV Base.  The ultimate winner will win a contract with MTV Base worth 20million Naira as well as other exciting prizes.


Special effects make-up artist Tomiwa Olorunfemi, popularly known by friends as “Flairtitude” is a self-confessed music enthusiast with a degree in Mass Communication from Kogi State University. Tomiwa is a lover of music, dance, and bowling, and describes her smile as “highly infectious”.


Happy-go-lucky theatre and film graduate Tochukwu Onwubiko a.k.a “Toby”, is always the life of the party. The 21 year old finalist is a music, food and dog lover, with a flair for gaming and acting.

Smart and witty Oladiran Olayinka, known to her friends as K’Ola loves to travel and is a lover of fashion. The 23-year old graduate of Broadcast Journalism & Psychology from Towson University, Baltimore, USA, says, “I love to design my own clothes and in another life I would be a fashion designer or a personal shopper.”


19-year old identical twins, Grace and Glory Danbaki love to do everything together. Joint graduates in Mass Communication at Ahmadu Bello university, the twins are huge lovers of music, dance and swimming.

The winner in the MTV Base VJ Search will be announced during the televised MTV Base VJ Search Grand Final at 18:30 WAT on Friday 23 September. The finale will also stream live simultaneously on MTV Base.
