GRAMMY AOTY PREDICTIONS: ADELE OR BEYONCE

The Grammy nominations will be announced in December while the main show will hold in February of 2017.

Prior to the release of this list, polls are usually held by entertainment websites like Rolling Stone and Billboard to predict the likely nominees and other times, winners. Most times it turns out perfect and accurate, and at other times not the case.

This year, two music act  tops the list of artistes predicted to dominate the Album of the Year (AOTY) category - Adele and Beyoncé

Adele released her third studio album '25' to worldwide commercial success and currently stands out as the best selling album of 2016 despite being released last year. it bested this year's best releases from Drake and Beyonce. Based on this accolade Adele would likely take home the shiny gramophone.

On the other hand, Beyonce released 'Lemonade,' her sixth studio effort and currently shines as the best reviewed album of 2016 with a Metacritic rating of 93. Based on the album's theme, it serves as a cultural and empowerment tool to different sects thus having significant cultural and identity impact. since the Grammy doesn't necessary give points on sale of album - sorry Britney- so Beyonce gains a upper hand.

The 'Lemonade album' enjoyed a vast number of contributors while '25' had way lesser contributors in way of Writers, Producers, and Directors. This might also be in favour of Adele.

Both ladies share the titled of most wins in a night by a female, each winning a whooping 6 Grammy. Adele has an average of five Grammy from two studio albums while Beyonce has garnered an average of four Grammy from five studio albums and efforts as a Destiny's Child member.

Adele had previously won AOTY for her sophomore multi-platinum selling album '21' and Beyonce has been nominated twice with little luck- in 2010 for 'I Am... Sasha Fierce' and 2015 for 'Beyonce.'

The Grammy - if predictions are correct- is set be be a female affair when it finally arrives in 2017; a more elegant replay of the  2016 MTV VMA. Amidst all these speculations it could also turn out not to be as imagined -  it's the Grammys.
Who do you think stands a better chance at being picked by the board, Adele or Beyonce?

Review: Kanye West's 'Ultralight Beam.'

‘Ultralight Beam’ is a song recorded by American rapper and fashion mogul Kanye West.   It features efforts from The Dream, Kelly Price, Chance The Rapper and Kirk Franklin. Charged with black power and choral performance, ‘Ultralight Beam’ stands bold and fearless, yet gentle to the touch with its message that takes on issues as suppression, hope, faith and resilience  that form the block of ‘Life Of Pablo’ album.    'Ultralight Beam' is a Gospel in its arrangement and instrumentation that seamlessly infuses jazz flavours accentuated through resounding horns.   What really sets the pace on ‘Ultralight Beam’ remains its subtlety in the way it gives room for each act to vocally express themselves. The track sets off on the zestful vocals of 4 years old Natalie Green, culled from a YouTube video that sees Green pray for her family shortly before they embark on a journey. The infusion of Green's vocals easily buys the emotions of the liste...

Has Adele Blurred Her Bright Future After The Grammys?

Last week, Adele stomped out every single competition in all five nominated categories, performed twice on the big stage, and exercised the graceful audacity to restart a tribute performance of the late George Michael, saying that it wasn't perfect at the first take.    The British vocalist’s   wins didn’t top the evening's conversation, rather, it was her blatant worship to the Queen Bey who lost to her in all categories they were both nominated in.   In Adele profession, she felt the “Lemonade” album was well thought-out and deserves to win over her “25” album.   Soaked in tears, Adele said: "I can't possibly accept this award, and I'm very humbled and very grateful and gracious, but my life is Beyoncé. And the album to me, the Lemonade album, Beyoncé, was so monumental and so well thought out. And so beautiful and soul-baring and we all got to see another side of you that you don't always let us see, and we appreciate that. And all us...
