'93 Days' relays in its plot the resilient spirit of a
female Nigerian doctor, Dr. Ameyo Adadevoh (Bimbo Akintola), her impassioned
efforts invested towards containing the spread of the virulent Ebola virus in
Nigeria. The movie serves as window into the world of the infected Ebola
victims who subsequently contracted the virus in the course of saving the life
of infected Liberian diplomat, Patrick Sawyer (Keppy Ekpeyong); detailing the grueling
moments of pain, agony and betrayal.
Showcasing top local actors and a select few foreign actors
in its lineup, 93 days boasts of a sound assemblage of seasoned talents. With
contributions from the likes of Bimbo Akintola, Danny Glover, Somkhele Idhalama
and Tim Reid, ‘93 days’ is set to thrill Nigerians whilst serving as an obelisk
in honor of our fallen heroes.
The movie had its international premiere at the Toronto

Bader Theatre to rave reviews. Speaking on the film’s brilliant performance at
TIFF, Director Steve Gukas said: “Dotun and I, just before we left from the
last screening, this gentleman walked up to us, [shook] my hands and said,
‘thank you for making this film. I have seen several films here, this is the
best one I have seen.’ ” Gukas continued, “I am hoping this film gets a
nomination for the Oscars.”
