STAR MUSIC TREK: MAKURDI WAS SET ON FIRE!!!


The city of Makurdi was set ablaze on Saturday, September 10, 2016 when  thousands of music lovers convened  at the IBB Square for the debut of the Star Music Trek 2016 concerts.

Hosted by Gbenga Adeyinka, the event kicked off on an exceptionally exuberant note showcasing an array of budding music talents thrilling the audience with spectacular performances.


A pre-concert show featured an iconic performance by 2Face the night prior to the main concert

Notable appearances at the main concert includes Burna Boy, Ice Prince, Cynthia Morgan and Wande Coal.

Wande coal, taking his stage craft a notch higher at the Makurdi concert, gave his fans a fulfilling experience performing classic hit singles like Bumper to Bumper, Se na like this, Super woman, Booty call, My woman - My everything and a handful of his recent songs.
 
Cynthia Morgan graced the 'Star Music Trek' stage delivering stunning dance routines whilst performing her new single Bubble bup. Morgan also performed hit singles like 'I’m Taken’, 'Lead Me On', ‘Popori’ and the classic German Juice.’ Morgan had the crowd's encore mode fully activated.



Ice prince gave a brilliant performance of his timeless singles  Oleku, Aboki, Excellency and That could be us.

Burna Boy had his A-game on connecting effortlessly with the crowd throughout his 40 minutes set on stage. He serenaded the crowd to amazing songs like Don Gorgon, Yawa Dey, Won da mo, Oluwa Burna and a couple of other songs from his impressive oeuvre.

2Face closed the concert with a one-hour live performance, cementing his legendary status. The music concert served as homage to 2Face; celebrating his legacy and achievements

Closing on a successful note on the first date in the series of concerts.The trek continues on Saturday, October 8. The city of Abuja will be next in line for the 'five-city' concert.
